Define the commercial visit precisely

The MFA identifies the M visa for people entering China for commercial and trade activities. State the host, cities, dates and actual work clearly: meetings, negotiations, sourcing, a trade fair or another commercial visit.

Central guidance asks for a document from the Chinese trade partner, a trade-fair invitation, or another invitation covering the business activity.

Build an invitation that answers the obvious questions

Include the invitee’s identity details; the reason for the visit; arrival and departure dates; locations; relationship to the inviting party; who pays the costs; and the inviter’s legal name, address and contact details.

For an organization, include the seal and the signature of its legal representative or the inviter. Then verify the current local requirements in the MFA application system or mission website.
